Summer is over :(

Nathan is off to school today. He is such a big boy. He woke up early and finished his chores

When it was time to go Tyler started crying because Nathan couldnt come with us and asked for him all the way home . . . and because he thought the desk next to Nathan was for him until another little boy came in and sat there

We are very excited to be having our first girl, but we knew our boys wouldnt feel quite the same since they have already dubbed our house "boyland" and "there is no room for anything pink." So on our way home from the doctors we got them swords and decided to knight them protectors of their new baby sister.

Pioneer Day

We made a quick trip to St Johns this weekend and the kids had a blast and cried for a good 15 minutes because it was time to go home.

Christmas in July

N has been asking alot lately, "how long until Christmas" and already has about 3 different list ready to be mailed to Santa if he were collecting mail this time of year. Last night he pulled everyone into the living room where he had set up Christmas complete with "presents" wrapped in Christmas socks (which I am sure he found lurking in the bottom of the sock drawer). We then ate a plateful of chocolate chip cookies, since Santa wasnt really coming, sang a carol and told stories about Jesus' birth.



I have to say, I am kinda excited for Christmas to come too.
(please excuse Tyler, he does not like shoes or pants and has now figured out how to take off his own shirt)

Adventures at Costco

I actually enjoy going to costco as a family, not that the kids are any less crazy, it just seems a little more relaxed at night. This trip, T made a new friend and pushed him around with us for quite a while.

Kids make everything so fun dont they? They see things from a totally different magical perspective. The dinosaurs werent just statues, they were about to come alive at any minute. The comics and rocks had powers. The jail cell was where they were really going to go if they ran off again. And they were actually panning for REAL gold!
