Beware of . . . .

#1 At soccer practice, T got a little too close to some black ants. (This happens at least once each soccer season to somebody) Typical: child crying = mother running, followed by swatting of ants off feet. . .knees. . .diaper. . .stomach. . .neck! Whew, got'em all. Didn't seem to bother him too much until that night and the next 36 hours. Poor kids hands and feet swelled right up (no thanks to the benadryl). After a trip to the doctors and another perscriptions later, we are on the road to recovery.

#2 These three boys who are likely to explode from energy overload at any minute

#3 Beware of what you might find hiking. . .no, that's not a giant baby behind J's shoulder.

The boys on their hike actually saw a wild desert tortoise!

If you were to ask me which season of life I am in right now, I would have to say winter because as my friend often jokes, "picking up after your children is like shoveling snow during a snow storm." I was reminded of this saying when N called me back in the dining room (which I had just finished cleaning up the playdoh and left) because he wanted to show me something:
