Primary Program

Our Primary Program was a couple of weeks ago and everthing was ready to go. N and J had memorized their parts and were really excited to sing a duet together of I Am A Builder. I thought I had gotten lucky Sunday morning when everyone was still asleep at 8am. I woke and dressed J and T but N would not wake up and when he did was screaming that his head hurt and wanted to go back to sleep. I texted C who left in the middle of his meeting, came home and stayed with N so I could put on the show because after all the show must go on. On the way to church I asked J what he wanted he wanted to do about the song and told he could sing with anyone else he wanted even me. But he only wanted to sing it with N. . . . but I guess I will have to do it myself. With my jaw dropping to the floor I told him that if he would sing it by himself I would take hime to Target and he could pick a reward! This went over well. Not only did he say his part slowly and loudly but he marched right over for his solo and sung it with a smile on his face. It was very much a proud mother moment.

Catch up

Other than the boys being sick with some form of the flu, me not having a cell phone for two weeks, and being quarantined during recovery, October was a great month and we still enjoyed a little halloween.

This is how J enjoyed His pumpkin pancake breakfast

We made halloween cookies, had a mad scientist party, and watched the pirate playmobile movie

We then did a little trick or treating (very socially unresponsible I realize but no one was excreting anything by this point)

Except for J and his tears because he all of the sudden decided he didnt like his head "dress" and wanted to call it something different, but everyone who answered the door would compliment him on his "head dress".

We got home just in time to answer the door for a van full of . . . . immagrants. . . . . of all ages. The coversation went something like this:

C- oh and where's your costume

young boy - this is my costume

-dropping candy into pillow cases-

C-arent you a little old to be trick or treating

man older than C in regular clothes - silent

-dropping more candy into pillow cases-

C handed out the rest wished them a happy halloween and they left

N came home for school the next day and said that his teacher asked how everyones halloween was and what their favorite part was to which he said. My favorite part was when my dad asked the van full of Canadians what their cotume was and he said "this is my costume" that was really funny.
